My mom always said she believed in the taking away of privileges, not in grounding. But I don't think she's had to do either since the fourth grade. Mostly, if I've done something REALLY bad, I get a harsh reprimand or a lecture.

The only time in, what, 5 years that has been remotely punishment is either my mom nagging me for getting a C on an assignment and being on the computer too long.
